I was able to use BitPim to access and manipulate the file system in a Sprint Rumor \
phone; LG model LX260. However, I have not been able to do so with a Rumor2, model \
LX265. With USB drivers installed, the phone is recognized as Other CDMA Phone, \
usually COM4 (on Win2K, COM 8 on Vista). I have green lights at the bottom of the \
window. When I try to look at the file system, the end of the log displays this \
message:

10:47:20.823 Found phone:Other CDMA phone port:'COM4'
10:48:40.299 COM4: USB support is not available
10:48:40.299 COM4: Opening port COM4, 115200 baud, timeout 3.000000, hardwareflow 0, \
softwareflow 0 10:48:40.299 COM4: Open of comm port suceeded
10:48:40.299 Other CDMA Phone: Listing subdirs in dir: ''
10:48:40.309 Other CDMA Phone: X recurse=0
10:48:40.319 Other CDMA Phone: Now in brew mode
10:48:40.328 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=.efs_private
10:48:40.338 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=CGPS_ME
10:48:40.348 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=CGPS_PE
10:48:40.358 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=CIQ
10:48:40.368 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=DB
10:48:40.378 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=Dcam
10:48:40.388 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=EPM
10:48:40.398 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=VoiceDB
10:48:40.408 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=alarm
10:48:40.418 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=bluetooth
10:48:40.428 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=brew
10:48:40.438 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=cert
10:48:40.448 Other CDMA Phone: subdir=core
10:48:40.459 Failed to read filesystem
10:48:40.459 Other CDMA Phone: Listing files in dir: ''
10:48:40.489 Failed to read filesystem

I'm curious if the failure to read the file system is due to the fact that "USB \
support is not available" (line 2 above), that the phone is "in brew mode" (line 7 \
above), or if Sprint perhaps encrypted the files or otherwise blocked access to them. \
Any insight and help will be greatly appreciated. I even tried using Linux without \
success.
