Rick-
I agree that the developers have done a great job with this software -- but like you, \
I'm just a lucky recipient of all their hard work. As to your question, LG phones \
have had differing file systems, etc., through the years, so everything might not \
work correctly if you get a different model. However, if they still use the same t9 \
database structure, you should be OK trying to restore it from your backup. The \
worst you can do is break the phone, right? ;-)
Maybe Joe or one of the other developers can shed more light on this topic.

Thanks much; that does it. If I get a new LG VX series phone and I want to \
restore this database to my new phone, do I go to the *root directory* of the phone, \
choose Restore from the right-click menu, and let it overwrite the entire t9udb \
folder with my saved .ZIP file? I guess there's no separate 'user database' from the \
factory database, so I'd be overwriting the whole shebang with what I have now, yes? \
Would that be safe as far as you know? I'm hoping the 6100's t9udb system is not \
specific to the 6100.
Btw, this is the first time I've used BitPim since v0.7.16 and it looks \
FANTASTIC! Thank you for all the work you've done.

computer?
Rick-
In the View menu, select View Filesystem. Then expand the Filesystem icon, \
you will see the t9udb folder. Right-click on the folder, and one of the options is \
to back up the folder (or the entire phone, if you like). BitPim will put everything \
you select to backup into a zip file that you can then name and save on your \
computer.
Enjoy!
