Whenever a zone is dynamically updated and the update is stored in the
zone's journal file, the journal entry includes a copy of the zone's
SOA SERIAL field before and after the update.  The code you quoted
advances from one journal entry to the next, verifying that the SOA
serial number at the end of the first entry is the same as at the
beginning of the second entry.
