The "zonename" parameter to named-checkzone just tells it what to set 
the "zone origin" to be. Zone origin only comes into play if you use the 
"@" notation or unqualified/partially-qualified names prior to the first 
$ORIGIN directive in the zone file, if any. Assuming that the 
mycompany.com zone file doesn't do any of that, the "zonename" parameter 
is essentially superfluous in your situation.
