This posting is directed towards users of Reflection 4 (widely
used communication and terminal emulation software), especially
those who utilize R4's encryption capability to hide remote
login passwords and other confidential data contained in RCL
script files.

The encryption algorithm employed by crypt.com is weak. A
program that deciphers encrypted RCL scripts will soon be
distributed as freeware. This prior notification allows
R4 users to take appropriate measures to protect any
confidential information contained in their encrypted RCL
scripts, before the new password-recovery program becomes
commonly available.

If you have a friend who uses Reflection 4, you might draw
their attention to this announcement.
