why should that be an attribute of the scene graph node and not the

ah, that answers the above question. There is more than rendering
that is affected by this...

well, there aren't many people right now making educated suggestions
about interface changes, it's not a coordinator's nightmare just yet :)

so yes, that sounds like a sensible change. I'm fine with it.
By the way, we should add a new task about implementing a 3D capable
PickTraversal (i.e. with more than just 2D bounding box intersection).
