Yea, on a similar note, I had thought about the potential to somehow use
it to distill gin. Problem is gin is generally distilled at around 180F
I think, which would be a pretty obscene temperature to allow your CPUs
to get to in a server room, but this is just for pot stills. I suppose
if you had a vacuum going you could distill at a much lower temperature,
and a nice side effect would be not cooking the heck out of your
ingredients.
Doing some work on my "Related Works" section, I find RGB's proof holds
up as it looks like there's a gin out there called "Sacred Gin" that is
distilled at just these temperatures (100 to 130F). Ironically, it
appears the creator of this gin used to be a Wall Street arbitrage
trader, which is limited to those with uber-fast machines now-adays.
I wonder...
