Just one thought concerning documentation:

Section C of the Bash FAQ doesn't point out that bash has dynamic scoping,
whereas ksh93 has two forms of scoping (lexical or none). This seems to me
to be a fairly significant difference between the two shells. Perhaps it
should be included?
