Summary: File daemon encryption certificate // bad encoding
???
Description:
There seems to have a problem reading the master certificate under windows.
I have got 2 windows server running 5.0.3 File daemon.
My Problem is as following:
The master.cert & keypair has been generated under Linux.
The windows client keypair and cert has been generated under Linux too
- If I copy the master.cert file from an external server, it's got the same MD5
hash
but it is not working: I cant restore with the master keypair, the file daemon
is running with a bad certificate without warning !
- If I copy the master.cert content and write the file with windows's notepad,
the hash is different from the original but the key is working and I can restore
with the master keypair.
I think it's and encoding issue.
I think that it's critical because you think that your master key is working and
it isn't.
It should be added a functionality on the director to compare hashs from the
master certificates on every file daemons. Or why the director wouldn't publish
himself the certificate ?
The windows FD should be able to read the cert file even if it's been generated
on a Linux platform
Thanks

I think that the issue is comming more from the EndLine character than from the
file Encoding
