Well, I know for certain that compiling mod_backhand as a DSO and
allowing it to load dynamic candidacy functions is a recipe for a seg
fault under Solaris. If there are other modules that suffer the same
problems, I wouldn't feel so stupid... So, that would be good :-)
I originally developed mod_backhand on a Linux 2.2 and a Solaris 2.6
box. On Solaris, dynamically loaded candidacy functions work fine if
mod_backhand itself is compiled in statically. I haven't witnessed (or
been informed of) such limitations on other OSes.
