Depends how cocoAspell integrates aspell into emacs, and how it implements the 
change of the dictionary, how it rmembers the change of the lanuage. ... Thus 
i consider your problem rather an inconsistency between cocoAspell binding to 
emacs and aspell >= 0.50. So i think you should tell the maintainer of 
cocoAspell to add support for Aspell >= 0.50.
