Following up to my own question ...

The problem lies in using libc.a at link time. If I remove -lc from the link line of my
library,
it loads fine.

Subject: Linux elf-c library compile flags?

Hello World,

I'm attempting to get my builder application up and running under RedHat Linux 5.0. I
have Applixware 4.41 (1021.211.13).

What are the compiler and linker flags needed for Linux/gcc that will produce a binary
that can be loaded with INSTALL_C_LIBRARY@?

I have tried -fPIC and -shared, but all that I get is a segmentation violation when I try
to load the library into applix :-(

A simple example is the ADDNUM example program found in the applix distribution (I
do not want to use rpc).
