Use mod_auth_sys.c instead...
This enables you to use the original system accounts.

Subject:	/etc/password

hi

I am using apache on linux.
I have a question about the authentication of apache.

    1) For internal users present in /etc/passwd , I want to copy those
users and their password
         to htaccess.

         Will it work ?

every after some particular time , I want to copy the
/etc/passwd users and password to
htaccess files. ( like a cron job)

    2) For external users , I want to again enter their entry in to the
same htaccess file.

But since after some time I have to again lookup /etc/passwd
file
, and copy the new user to htaccess.

          Will this be possible ?

    3) or do I need to configure the virtual hosts for external users
having .htaccess in the virtual host directory.

if anybody having a slightest idea , please email me back with your
suggestions.

Rajesh
