Harry...
Kevin Kiley here...
CTO for Remote Communications, Inc.

Sure, the 6 week old version of mod_gzip that's out there
has problems but I really don't know what yours is.

I use it here all day long... I don't try to compress
graphics.... Everyhing runs fine.

Ball is in your court.

You have to turn 'LogLevel' debug on and send me an
Apache error.log trace of some unsuccessful requests
or I won't be able to tell why your system and/or your
browsers are puking on the graphics.

Also be sure to use "mod_gzip_verbose_graphics Yes"
and 'fire for maximum effect'.

More info needed...

1. What BROWSERS ( Exact version and build number )
2. Where are these graphics coming from... static or dynamic.
3. What KIND of graphics are they. GIF, JPG, BMP... what???
4. What is this 'Performance tuned by SGI' jazz? What has
been 'tuned'... where... and how. TCP/IP sub-system?
Packet sizes? What?

Can I access the same pages you say aren't working from
right here?... or is this a private deal?

If I can simply hit what you are asking for from here I can tell you
if it all works fine for me which means you have 'in-between' problems
somewhere.

Later...
Kevin
