Summary: FCGID processess are restarted at gracefull reload but
score is preserved
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.15
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mod_fcgid
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: lefty@multihost.cz
Actual results:
mod_fcgid doesn't reset child's scores on gracefull reload, but terminates
them, which results in quite high spawning scores, so that fcgi refuses to
start new workers for quite a long time, because of FcgidSpawnScoreUpLimit. This
can lead to unavailability of whole sites with high TerminationScore and many
spawned childs.
Expected results:
mod_fcgid should detect reload and reset scores after child's termination (or
don't count these forced terminations into score).
Steps to reproduce:
Occurs on every gracefull reload and is dangerous especially with many spawned
childs and high TerminationScore.
