It's been a great week! Here's what we've been up to: 

ASF Board –the ASF Board is responsible for management and oversight of the \
                business and affairs of the corporation in accordance with the \
                Foundation's Bylaws. 
- Upcoming Board Meeting: 19 August. Board calendar and minutes available at \

ASF Infrastructure –our distributed team on four continents keeps the ASF's \
                infrastructure running around the clock. 
- The ASF Infrastructure team runs more than 35,000 weekly checks for each service \
provided. Uptime over the past week has been a super-swell 99.36% \

ASF Travel Assistance –this committee evaluates and provides financial assistance \
                to those who would otherwise be unable to attend various ApacheCon \
                events. 
- DEADLINE: Applications close on 17 July for travel assistance to "Apache: Big Data" \
and "ApacheCon: Core" Europe in Budapest http://www.apache.org/travel/ 

Apache Atlas (Incubating) –a scalable and extensible set of core foundational \
governance services – enabling enterprises to effectively and efficiently meet \
their compliance requirements within Apache Hadoop and allows integration with the \
                whole enterprise data ecosystem.

Apache Lens (Incubating) –a unified analytics interface that provides a single view \
of data across multiple tiered data stores and optimal execution environment for the \

Apache NiFi (Incubating) –an easy to use, powerful, and reliable system to process \
and distribute data. Made for dataflow, NiFi supports highly configurable directed \

Apache OpenNLP™ –a machine learning based toolkit for the processing of natural \
language text. It supports the most common NLP (Natural Language Processing) tasks, \
