Hi,

the Chemistry OpenCMIS PMC is pleased to announce the release of
ApacheChemistry OpenCMIS 0.9.0-beta-1.

OpenCMIS is the collection of Java libraries, frameworks and tools
around the CMIS (Content Management Interoperability Services)
specification [0].

OpenCMIS 0.9.0-beta-1 is the first release that provides a complete CMIS
1.1 API: CMIS 1.1 adds new features and capabilities to CMIS 1.0 and is
supposed to be backwards compatible. The ratification of this new
version of the standard is expected within the next few months.

0.9.0-beta-1 release is mainly intended for server developers who want
to expose new CMIS 1.1 features in the near future. The Browser Binding
(JSON) implementation does now fully support CMIS 1.1. Currently the
AtomPub and Web Service implementations only support CMIS 1.0, while the
final release of OpenCMIS 0.9.0 will support CMIS 1.1 for all bindings.

NOTE: Client and server APIs are supposed to be stable and ready for
use, although Internal implementation details might change in subsequent
releases.

OpenCMIS 0.9.0-beta-1 download packages are available on the Apache
mirrors [1] or you can get them via the ASF Maven repository [2] as
described at [3].

Refer to http://chemistry.apache.org for comprehensive user & developer
documentation as well as OpenCMIS samples.

Have fun!

The Chemistry OpenCMIS dev team
