heh - that's basically what I did (and what others did for amarok 1.x
lyrics plugins;
parsing a lyrics site with full blown HTML code + huge layout and parsing the
plain lyrics from that page) in my own lyrics script: [1] (note: I
know my Regex's suck)

maybe this is not the right thread where I should discuss it but...
don't you think amarok should not rely on one lyrics site?
having the ability to support multiple lyrics sites is a great thing
currently managing multiple sites is handled by the scripts out there
- for example the
way I did it or the way someone else did [2]

supporting multiple lyrics sites would also make amarok more
future-proof, since if
one site changes their API/layout amarok would still be able to fetch
lyrics from
another site (with the default lyrics plugin(s))
