I am way ahead of you there. As I mentioned, I actually started down
this path in my initial implementation, so I had already given it
quite a bit of thought before you brought it up here! :-)

I still kinda like the idea of auto expanding on mouse over, but in my
very limited test, in reality, it gave me "Instant Nervous Ticks" (tm)
when I had a prototype running with all the motion every time I moved
my mouse.... So lets leave this for now and and re investigate in 4.x
: x >= 1  :-)
