            Bug ID: 408054
           Summary: Wikipedia Applet shows nothing
           Product: amarok
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian stable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Context View/Wikipedia
          Assignee: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
          Reporter: jensenr30@gmail.com

A picture showing my Amarok window.

SUMMARY
I cannot view any Wikipedia pages in Amarok. It worked on my Linux Mint
installation, but on Debian I am having trouble. Nothing shows up (see
attached image).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Debian 9 with KDE desktop environment.
2. Run Amarok
3. Try to get information from the Wikipedia applet.

OBSERVED RESULT
The Wikipedia applet is empty (only the title bar appears). If I try this on a
song that has no artist information, the title bar reads: "Wikipedia: Artist is
needed for searching Wikipedia". However, when I load a song with proper
Artist, Album, and Track information, the title bar doesn't update. The title
bar only updates when I try to get information from a music file that has no
artist/album/track information.

EXPECTED RESULT
I was expecting to be able to view the Wikipedia page of the song/artist/album.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIOS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian GNU/Linux 9
KDE Plasma Version: 5.8.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.28.0
Qt Version: 5.7.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am using the VLC backend because the gstreamer backend could not play mp3
files.

I am really surprised how much I like being able to automatically read the
Wikipedia pages of my music. I was skeptical at first. Whoever came up with
the concept for this applet is a genius.

Thanks for making such an awesome Free Open Source music player!
