In other words: you are running Amarok in plasma 5. I am only partly surprised
that you run into some problems, but that is hard to predict and even harder to
solve, as there are a lot of things that can potentially go wrong which such a
setup.
Which exact phonon backend do you use? Please make sure you only use Qt4-based
phonon backends with that version, as it has not been ported to Qt5 yet. Track
skipping is almost certainly a phonon problem, I have never heard it happening
with the vlc backend, though.
