I presume this is a display problem related to the Mate desktop, I very much
doubt this is an Amarok problem. Could be that your desktop doesn't handle KDE
applications properly. Could you please report this to your distribution and
give a link to the bug report here?

I tried again here using the Ubuntu desktop Unity and still don't see that
problem. So not reproducible with KDE 4.14.2, nor Unity 7.3.1, I really think
this is MATE specific.
