Bug ID: 355972
Summary: Double-clicking a track in the playlist results in
unexpected behaviour
Product: amarok
Version: 2.8-git
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: Playlist
Assignee: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
Reporter: kdebugs@trevorparsons.com
When you double-click a track in the playlist, expecting Amarok to start
playing the track as it used to, nothing happens. Clicking on the track again
puts you into an editing mode.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add one or more tracks to the playlist pane.
2. Double-click on a previously unselected track.
3. Click one more time on the track.
Actual Results:
Double-clicking on the track gives no useful result.
The further single click results in the appearance of a flashing cursor in the
track's text.
Expected Results:
I would expect double-clicking on a track in the playlist pane to result in
Amarok starting to play the item, as was previously the case.
As it now stands, the only way to start playing a track at whim from the
playlist pane is to select it, either with the mouse or using the arrow keys
(which can require tabbing if the focus is on one of Amarok's other panes), and
then press enter. It was much quicker and easier just to double-click to play.
