Bug ID: 345109
Summary: Write metadata from collection to files
Product: amarok
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Metadata Editing and Reading
Assignee: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
Reporter: arjanen.loic@gmail.com
CC: 123kash@gmail.com
There is currently no way to have Amarok write back all the metadata stored in
its database to the files composing its collection, be it on a file-by-file
basis or globally, which is problematic when a third-party application
corrupted the metadata tags of said files. And using the editor to modify all
the tags and get them all back to their original value can be very
time-consuming, depending on the collection's size and the number of tags per
file.
So the request is for a way to write back all the tags currently in the
database to the files composing Amarok's collection.
Reproducible: Always
