I have limited screen space, but really like my cover art. I was hoping it
would be possible to emulate a Winamp skin I had once, where the player
interface had cover art as the background: a square for the image, basic
controls in the foreground & flyout panels for the music library etc. 

I've looked at scripting it myself but the scripting API doesn't seem to
provide the interfaces.
Some people are doing it with conky, but it seems a bit roundabout.

Speaking of, what about a way to skin Amarok?
