I assume you checked all the settings in the playlist layout editor, the
playlist filter as well as the ID3 tags? Is the album part of the collection?
Is the numbering in the title or in the corresponding ID3 tag?

FWIW: I can't reproduce this here, using current git v2.8.0-452-gf411860 with
albums in the collection
