Hi Rex, just got blasted again, brought me back to this report. 

Your test indicates that, once re-synced, the media keys change amarok volume
successfully. I think that they get out of sync, and stay out of sync, and are
only brought back in sync when amarok volume is changed manually, followed by
system volume being changed.

When I experienced the problem just now, I didn't use media keys at all - the
system volume and Amarok volume were just unsynced and didn't respond to each
other. I couldn't hear anything in amarok as volume was at 0, so took my system
volume down from 100% to 0 also to avoid sudden jump in volume, then increased
amarok volume to 100%, then increased system volume by 10%, and both volumes
then jumped to 100% together, thereby deafening me :(

So far it's rather difficult to pinpoint exactly what triggers the bug. Next
time the two are out of sync and amarok volume is unresonsive to media keys /
system volume changes, is there some test or state snapshot I can take?
