Well, if it crashes it certainly gives an error message. Please start the
application in a konsole with these arguments:

amarok -d --nofork

If the crash handler Dr. Konqi doesn't start, you can still run amarok with gdb
to get a backtrace. Please install the amarok debugging symbols first, though,
that would be the package amarok-dbg in your distribution.
