            Bug ID: 337849
           Summary: Last played time not updated on some tracks
           Product: amarok
           Version: 2.8-git
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
          Reporter: robert@capuchin.co.uk

I have a number of tracks where once played the last played time is not updated
(this is not connected to bug 335763). The tracks used to update but I've
played one track 3 times in the last 24 hours and it still has a last played
date of Dec 2013 - and lastfm (I use the plugin) also isn't showing the track
as played.

Looking at the output from debug I see
amarok: BEGIN: void EngineController::play(Meta::TrackPtr, uint, bool)
amarok:           BEGIN: void EngineController::stop(bool, bool)
amarok:             [EngineController] slotTrackFinishedPlaying( "calle ciega"
- "Nueva Era" - "Nueva Era" , 0 )
amarok: [SqlRegistryP] obtained max_allowed_packet is "1048576"
amarok:             [lastfm] scrobble(): refusing track
"/home/robert/Music/media-b/Music/Ilia/Musica/SalsaYMerengue/calle ciega -
Daria mi vida merengue.mp3" - played time ( 251 * 0 s) shorter than 30 s
amarok: END__: void EngineController::stop(bool, bool) [Took: 0.027s]

The track properties aren't showing the length as zero (length is 4:11) and the
progress bar moves normally during track play. The date on that mp3 (from ls
-l) is back in 2007 so it doesn't appear to have changed.

Looking further back in --debug there's lots of

amarok: found 0 timecodes on this track

is this the issue? I initially thought this might be a backend issue (having
updated to kubuntu 14.04 between Dec 2013 and now) - in case that's still a
possibility

 Phonon Version: 4.7.1
 Phonon Backend: VLC (0.7.1)

I can give more of the output from --debug if needed. The tracks where this
behaviour happens are repeatable.
