I presume you talk about tracks not in the collection? That totally depends on
your id3 tags, make sure you have all tags set correctly and no filters set in
the playlist pane.

FWIW: I can't reproduce this here at all, using Amarok v2.8.0-231-ga82b95a
which is ahead by 231 commits to the released version.
