I guess this is then not so much an Amarok problem but a mount problem, and
maybe a solid one. But with the changes in the various distributions with udev
and udev2 and the whole bunch of new stuff this might not be that easy to find
the culprit.

FWIW: Amarok only uses what Solid provides, it doesn't mount anything, so if
there are problems with a specific way of mounting things this should be
checked with solid IMHO
