            Bug ID: 322955
Summary: Rating field in Track Details dialog (assign number of
                    stars) is partially broken
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: amarok
           Version: 2.7.1
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
          Reporter: chealer@gmail.com

When one right-clicks a track, one can bring the Track Details dialog, where
the track can be rated using stars. A track can get from 0 to 5 stars, and
half-stars. Such a rating is possible from the playlist and works fine there.
But of course, one generally rates a song after listening to it, so people
generally rate in the Track Details dialog. Stars are much smaller in this
dialog. They could be bigger, but that's not my request. My problem is that
using the rating field is really hard - much more harder than rating from the
playlist than the size difference would suggest. It is particularly hard to
assign a non-integer number of stars (i.e. half-stars).

The behavior is buggy - If I put my mouse to the left of the stars, vertically
centered, than slowly bring the cursor towards the right, the stars don't
lighten gradually. One illuminates, then is greyed again, then lightens
again... even though I never go to the left.

I asked on #amarok if others got the same, but got a single answer. Mamarok
said it was hard to rate 3 ½ stars (for example), but didn't clearly say he
experienced the same problem. The behavior seems to be predictable but very
weird, it would be hard to describe (a video would show well). I think the
problem should be obvious if someone tries the field for 30 seconds. If it's
not, you don't have the problem.
