I'm sorry, while I agree that your request makes sense, I'm afraid it's
technically impossible to do. The OSD is a top-level-window, and as such it can
be above anything (not just Amarok, it also blocks events from any other
application).

I'm not aware of any solution to make the events instead go to the window
beneath.
