            Bug ID: 317415
Summary: Network stream fail to play after sometime
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: amarok
           Version: 2.6.0
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Playback/Streams
          Assignee: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
          Reporter: simon@gikaku.com

This could be related to bug: 278385
However, I will describe what's happening and what I think is happening:
I play streams from the "Cool Streams" or "SHOUTcast Service tralala" sections
under "Internet". As long as the stream is playing, everything is fine. If I
stop the stream and/or leave it for a few hours and then go to play the stream,
it will not start. I can clear the playlist and re-add the stations. They will
still not play. I have to restart Amarok to get the streaming working again.
This has been in every Amarok release since KDE 4 (No, I'm not a KDE 4 hater. I
think it's great.) I've tried with fresh installs and on all sorts of
computers. I always notice this happening.

I have thought this is because perhaps one IP address/server in the playlist is
not up/broadcasting. But this seems not to be the case. If it is indeed
something like this happening, perhaps it would be better to re-fetch the
playlist from the remote location and start the playback again, rather than
just dying. It's only related to network streams. I can playback files fine
even when streams refuse to play. After a restart, streams playback fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Play a stream from "Cool Streams".
2. Wait untill it stops playing.
3. Try double-clicking the stream from the playlist.
4. Try re-loading the stream from "Cool Streams"
Actual Results:
Stream does not playback.

Expected Results:
Playback of the stream.

I leave my computer playing music all the time. So I notice this. As long as
the stream continues, everything is fine. But if for some reason, the stream
stops, Amarok will not recover from that state and refuses to play other
streams as well.

If there is anything you need me to do to make this more re-produceable, please
let me know.
