Not specifically sure about this one, but it's very strange that choice of
backend affects this!

mga2 will be out soon, and I'm hoping that it will solve the problem
magically... I've just pushed the updated phonon and phonon-gst into our
packages (last night as it happens) and they will be part of the beta2 when it
comes along.

Julien, I'm not sure what position you're in to do tests etc., but hopefully
we'll get proper live cds for beta2 that are easy enough to test.
