Summary: amarok-2.4.0.90 looses statistics and tags on upgrade
Product: amarok
Version: 2.4.0.90
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: NOR
Component: Collection
AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
ReportedBy: marc@links2linux.de
CC: mitchell@kde.org, ralf.engels@nokia.com
For users that use remote shares like NFS mounts and used amarok 2.4.0 before
there is a problem when upgrading to 2.4.1:
It seems that 2.4.0 had a bug that made it store remote files as local files
(deviceid = -1) where the urls and the directories tables contain the full path
to the files.
In 2.4.1 this seems fixed: An NFS-Share will be detected correctly.
This leads to the following when doing an incremental update (manually
triggered in my case):
All tracks from remote shares are gone and statistics are lost.
What smells liek a bug is that in the urls table the rpath is set to the same
value as uniqueid and the deviceid is 0 for every url.
