Looks as though it was a Gstreamer back end (both were listed, but GStreamer
was topmost).

Switched the order, it crashed Amarok when I tried to play something, but after
launching Amarok again, it played. Confirmed it had retained the settings
switch, and then changed it back. Am not too surprised though- surely the track
length as displayed in the playlist is from reading the tags or file headers?
If anything, the fact that the correct time remaining shows up on the play
progress bar says to me that the back end is correctly reporting the length.
