No problem. But I think the Kubuntu folks already have reports enough about
this problem and are well aware of it :)

Acutally, the embedded mysql is the same for both 2.x versions, so you can just
go with the Kubuntu packages from the backports repository. You can also follow
the guide on how to install a local version if you are not afraid of compiling
stuff yourself:
