Version:           2.0.2 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1), Kubuntu packages)

OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

With all plugins deselected ~ running "barebones", Amarok seems OK. With Alsa
engaged it doesn't improve. 
With Pulseaudio and no extras selected it starts and runs Ok.But with radio
plugins etc. it freezes and nothing on the PC will respond. I have to reboot
and strip Amarok down to ,as I say, "barebones".
