If they're issues we are working on we should keep this bug open as a tracker
for them....

The reason why it isn't a smooth shrinkage down to 0 is because we don't want
people to accidentally lose part of Amarok.  Hiding any of the panes (except
for the left one) is in there for "power users" but it's something that we want
people to work at to be able to do.  I agree that the current implementation is
far from ideal, but the trouble is coming up with a better one.  There were
suggestions for double clicking on one of the sliders making the pane hide...
but it introduces ambiguity (which pane should hide?) and doesn't really have a
good "get me out of this!" reversal action.

CCing Mr. usability for ideas...
