Summary: When plugging in a media device, Amarok should ask what
                    to do
           Product: amarok
           Version: 2.0-SVN
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist@kde.org
        ReportedBy: mikko.cal@gmail.com

Version:           2.0-SVN (using 4.1.65 (KDE 4.1.65 (KDE 4.2 >= 20080903)),
Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-rc5

I know Amarok2.0 is in freeze, but it'd be nice if this can be implemented for
2.1

Right now, as a media device is detected, Amarok loads its collection and make
the device "busy".
This however might not be what the user wants.
In fact, many mp3 players (at least creative) need to recharge via usb.
It's useless to load the collection and make the device "busy" if all I need is
to charge my player.

Or also, I might want to use the device with another application, to load
videos and images (Amarok doesn't do it yet afaik): so I'd have to disconnect
the device from Amarok first.

To finalize, I think when Amarok detects a media device, it should ask the user
what to do with it :)
