------- Additional Comments From bugs.kde.org zetafleet com 2008-06-25 19:13 -------
I am also seeing this issue in Amarok 1.4.9.1 (KDE 3.5.9) (Ubuntu 8.04 package), \
using a MySQL database. My collection is on an NFS volume, which may make a \
difference, but so far I've had Amarok forget my collection at least 3 times since \
updating from Ubuntu 7.10, even when the last shutdown was clean. Sometimes the \
collection information is missing but the collection folders are still in amarokrc, \
other times (like the latest time) the collection folders have gone missing too, even \
though all my other settings are still intact. Doing a complete rescan on the \
collection takes a while (it's 59GB), and anything that plays before I realise Amarok \
dropped the ball again loses its old stats information and is replaced with data for \
the single play. Also, the moodbar files all end up being regenerated. This continues \
until after I rescan my collection and restart Amarok so that it picks up the old \
collection data again from the database. \
