Summary: Automatically provide radio station from collective
sites like http://www.liveradiostation.info
Product: amarok
Version: 1.4.7
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
ReportedBy: kde thomashartmann de
Version: 1.4.7 (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
There are loads of radio stations out there but users have to add them to the list of radio \
streams ( playlist ) by hand.
Why not parse those sites and provide the radio stations automaticalls ?
Step 1 might be a kind of guided "mass collection". Amarok will scan all known websites which \
list radio stations and present a distilled list of radio stations. The user can then a) have \
amarok test which of these radio stations are reachable and b) select which radio stations \
should be added to the playlist.
Step 2 might be a menu item "Find radio stations" which automatically adds all radio stations \
found eg. via the kind of mentioned websites and other lists to the laylist. Also here only \
those radiosations which can be tested as "active" are added.
Step 3 might be even more vomfortable and powerful automation...
