           Summary: mediadevice that reads/burns CD-RW
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.4.8
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Mediabrowser
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
        ReportedBy: rfunk funknet net

Version: 1.4.8 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Many car stereos and other portable CD players these days can play data CDs full of MP3 files. This \
allows a CD-RW disc to be effectively a 700MB media device. It would be wonderful if Amarok had a \
mediadevice driver for CD-RWs that would make the disc look like the currently supported mediadevices.

The "connect" action would mirror any existing data on the disc to a temp directory, and the "transfer" \
action would copy the queued files into that directory. Actually creating the ISO-9660 filesystem and \
burning it to the disc might be done either at transfer time or disconnect time (configurable?). \
