Amarok 1.4.4 just did it to me on KDE 3.5.8. I was playing a normal playlist (to my \
knowledge) that had been shuffled. I think I happened to press the global Next Track \
key at almost the exact same time the current track had finished playing. Amarok \
hung and completely blocked the keyboard. Ctrl+Alt+F# didn't work; Ctrl+Esc (kill \
application key) didn't work; Ctrl+Alt+Backspace didn't work; Ctrl+Alt+KPDivide and \
Ctrl+Alt+KPMultiply didn't work (even though they normally do in these situations). \
Alt+SysRq+R Ctrl+Alt+F1 worked, but Alt+SysRq+R followed by anything else while X was \
active did not.
Killing amarokapp didn't even help, either(!); the keyboard was still broken [though \
now I realize I only tried a simple killall and didn't remember to try Signal 9 \
because I was too angry ;-) ]. Logging out of the KDE session with the mouse brought \
everything back to normal. What a pain, though, given that KDE's session restore \
function never works right. _______________________________________________
