Summary: Delay OSD until after few seconds of actual sound
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.4.7
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
        ReportedBy: yakyak1986 yahoo de

Version: 1.4.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.2.3 20071014 standard debian package of amarok
OS: Linux

(1) There are songs which start with some silence or quiet sounds
(2) Some people configure fade-in.
(3) After some seconds of actual sound, we like to know what this song.
(4) But at this point the successfully ignored OSD is already gone.

I agree this is a tiny but important detail - many people seem to ask for it. Turning \
up the display time is not what they wanted ! OSD popping up for 20 seconds sucks.
What people would enjoy is to have an option for 'OSD delay' which says how many \
seconds to wait until OSD pops up.

Or even better, how many seconds after some recognizable sound appears.

I agree that's much asked for that tiny detail. So if it's doomed WONTFIX just go \
ahead. This is just for the records ;)

Greets, Micha
