Summary: Duplicate collection items in FAT32 partitions
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.4.5
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
        ReportedBy: Gojyo83 gmail com

Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: GCC 4.1.1 flags: -march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer
OS: Linux

If some audio files are stored on a case-insensitive filesystem partition (like \
FAT32), if I rename some of those files (or a directory) ONLY changing one or more \
letters from lowercase to uppercase or from uppercase to lowercare (i.e., if I just \
change the "case" of some letters), then amaroK add the files renamed (or every file \
in the directories renamed) as new entries in the collection, without deleting the \
ones already existing.

The result is that every time I make such a rename, the collection items related to \
the files renamed are duplicated.

Only a complete collection rebuild solves the problem, leaving only one item per \
file. _______________________________________________
