           Summary: Firefox-like advance options, "about:config"
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.4.4
          Platform: Slackware Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
        ReportedBy: hanswchen gmail com

Version: 1.4.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Slackware Packages

To keep the Option-window simple and unbloated, that seems to be one of Amarok dev \
team's policy. However, sometimes there are options which many users want, but not \
enough users to add it to Amarok.

What I request is an "Advanced Settings" window, like Firefox' about:config. Maybe \
you could write it (e.g. "config:") in the Filter field, and the playlist would be \
filled with different options instead of music. write anything after "config" will \
filter the options.

Pros:
- Will allow advance users to change options without changing in the source
- The default config would still be unbloated and beautiful
- Even if it's for advanced users, novices could still change some advance setting \
(following some kind of Howto)

Problems:
- The columns would have to change - confusing?
- Confusing in general?
