Hi there, There have been a few users reporting that kded4 crashes when starting Amarok 2. This is caused by conflicting global shortcuts with the same shortcut sequence, and has been fixed in KDE 4 trunk (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171870). You can fix this by following these steps: 1. Quit Amarok. 2. Kill kded4 (if it hasn't already crashed), killall -9 kded4 3. edit ~/.kde4/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc 4. find the [amarok] section 5. remove the lines which start with: addMedia seekForward seekBackward previousTrack nextTrack Toggle Main Window muteVolume play-pause showOSD 6. start `kded4` 7. Amarok should now start without crashing kded4 This is a one time fix and does not need to be reapplied, unless you missed removing a duplicate shortcut mapping. -- Seb Ruiz http://www.sebruiz.net/ http://amarok.kde.org/ _______________________________________________ Amarok mailing list Amarok@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/amarok
