Well, I thing I have the same issue. It happens only if the file is the last 
in the playlist, or if I've set "Stop after playing this track". If there's 
one more file on the queue, it will play till the end (maybe thanks to the 
Xine's new gapless playback).

As now Amarok doesn't support any other engines (not on a 64-bit Gentoo 
machine anyway), I cannot say if this is Xine's or Amarok's fault; I'll 
probably try the same file with xine-ui.
